REMAK LAB – Non-Destructive Testing Laboratory
REMAK LAB provides non-destructive testing (NDT) services for the industrial, power generation, petrochemical and structural engineering sectors. We support investors, contractors and maintenance teams at every stage – from the quality control of materials and welded joints, through diagnostic testing of equipment in service, to the final acceptance of new facilities and installations.
We provide reliable test results that enable the assessment of technical condition, confirm compliance with design requirements and applicable standards, and support decision-making regarding the further operation, repair and modernization of equipment.
Scope of Testing
We perform testing, among others, on welded joints, steel structures, pressure equipment, pipelines, turbines, generators, valves and other components of industrial infrastructure.
- Ultrasonic Testing (UT) – conventional techniques, IBUS, UT-PA and thickness measurements. They enable the detection of internal discontinuities in materials and welded joints, as well as the assessment of component thickness. They make it possible to identify potential damage at an early stage, reducing the risk of failures and costly downtime. Conducting testing at an early stage helps reduce the risk of failures and costly downtime.
- Visual Testing (VT). It enables the detection of surface workmanship nonconformities and the assessment of the quality of welded joints and structural components. This facilitates the rapid identification and rectification of defects before subsequent stages of production, assembly or acceptance.
- Penetrant Testing (PT). It enables the detection of cracks and other discontinuities open to the surface of the material. It helps prevent the propagation of cracks that may lead to reduced service life or component failure.
- Magnetic Particle Testing (MT). It is used to detect surface and near-surface discontinuities in ferromagnetic materials. It makes it possible to identify discontinuities that may affect operational safety and reliability.
- Dynamic Hardness Testing (HT). It enables the rapid assessment of the mechanical properties of a material without sampling. It helps confirm that the material meets technical requirements and retains the required service properties.
- Vacuum Leak Testing. It enables the verification of the tightness of joints and structural components. It helps reduce the risk of leaks that may result in process medium losses and unplanned plant downtime.
- Material Identification and Chemical Composition Analysis – PMI (XRF) and LIBS. They enable rapid identification of the material grade and verification of its compliance with technical documentation. They help prevent the use of an incorrect material, which could result in costly repairs or the need to replace components.
- Radiographic Testing (RT) – digital techniques: DR (Digital Radiography) and CR (Computed Radiography). They enable the detection of internal discontinuities in materials and welded joints with a high degree of accuracy. Digital imaging provides excellent-quality documentation and enables faster analysis and delivery of test results to the client.
Why REMAK LAB?
- Experience gained in practice – our team's expertise has been developed over many years through testing performed for projects carried out by companies within the Zarmen Group, as well as for external clients from the power generation, industrial and petrochemical sectors.
- Certified personnel – testing is performed by Level II and Level III specialists certified in accordance with PN-EN ISO 9712 by UDT-CERT, the Institute of Welding, TÜV SÜD and TÜV Rheinland.
- Modern equipment – we use equipment from global leaders in non-destructive testing technology, including Krautkramer (Waygate Technologies), Olympus (Evident), Proceq, GE Measurement & Control, Flux-Technic and Wöhler.
- Reliable test results – all testing and inspection and measurement equipment is subject to regular calibration at laboratories accredited by PCA or covered by the ILAC MRA (International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation) framework.
- Proven laboratory competence – REMAK LAB operates in accordance with the requirements of PN-EN ISO/IEC 17025:2018-02 and the requirements of the Office of Technical Inspection document WUDT-LAB 3/2022, as confirmed by recognition LBU 285/9 issued by the Office of Technical Inspection (link to scope of recognition) and recognition TSP-17025-LB-015.00 issued by TÜV SÜD.
We invite investors, contractors and companies looking for a reliable partner in the field of non-destructive testing to cooperate with us. Our specialists will help select the appropriate testing method and prepare an offer tailored to the requirements of the project.
